Hiscox Names Liz Breeze as Its Interim Group CFO

Hiscox, a global specialty insurer and reinsurer, has announced that Liz Breeze, the CFO of its reinsurance and insurance-linked securities (ILS) unit, will serve as the Group’s interim CFO.

Breeze’s nomination is still pending regulatory confirmation, and she will start in her new post while the company looks for a permanent CFO.

She joined the firm in 2012 and has held a variety of senior finance positions within the Group, including Group Technical Accountant, Head of Finance for Hiscox UK, and most recently, CFO for Hiscox Re & ILS.

Liz Breeze has led substantial improvements in financial processes and capital efficiency at Hiscox Re & ILS as part of the leadership team.

Breeze will work closely with Aki Hussain, Group CFO and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) designate, as interim Group CFO, and will assume Group CFO duties on January 1, 2022.

Breeze will join the Group Executive Committee and be stationed in London.
