According to a new analysis from Global Data, social media conversations about Shiba Inu (SHIB) have surged by a whopping 16,000 percent in 2021.
According to this statistic, the meme-inspired cryptocurrency and self-proclaimed Dogecoin killer will outperform every other coin on the market in 2021.
Smitarani Tripathy, a Senior Social Media Analyst at Global Data, commented on the topic, stating that “social media talks about crypto as a topic rose year-on-year by more than 400% in 2021.”
Indeed, in terms of overall cryptocurrency acceptance, the year has been a huge success, aided by a big bull market that saw Bitcoin’s price reach a new all-time high of $69K.
Despite the massive increase in social media discussions, SHIB is still a long way behind Bitcoin.
According to the study, BTC is the most popular cryptocurrency, with around 900K talks, followed by Ethereum with 305K and Dogecoin with 150K.
